What does Rise Education and Care Services do?

We provide tailored education and care support for young people who are unable to access mainstream settings. This includes Section 19 provision, school refuser support, AP interventions, specialist staffing solutions and consultancy for schools, care providers and local authorities.

Who can make a referral?

Referrals can be made by schools, academies, local authorities, social care teams, parents and carers (where appropriate).

Which areas do you cover?

We support children and young people across Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and Bristol.

Referral & Support

How do I make a referral?

You can complete our online referral form on the “Referral” page. Once submitted, our team will contact you within one working day.

What information do I need to provide when referring a young person?

You’ll need basic details about the young person, the reason for referral, any relevant background information, and contact details for parents/carers or professionals involved. Supporting documents can also be uploaded.

Do you work with children with SEND?

Yes. We support young people with a range of additional needs, and our staff are trained in relevant strategies, interventions and safeguarding practices.

Do you offer emergency or crisis support?

No. If a child is at immediate risk, please contact your local safeguarding team or call 999.
We cannot accept emergency safeguarding referrals through our online form.

What is Section 19 provision?

Section 19 provision is education arranged for pupils who are unable to attend school due to medical, emotional or behavioural reasons. We provide structured, high-quality learning to ensure continuity during their absence.

Do you work with children with SEND?

Yes. We support young people with a range of additional needs, and our staff are trained in relevant strategies, interventions and safeguarding practices.

Can you provide one-to-one staff for schools or AP settings?

Yes. We offer flexible staffing solutions for fluctuating numbers, high-needs support and bespoke interventions.

Do you deliver sessions in school, at home or in the community?

Support can be delivered in schools, at home, or in agreed safe community locations, depending on the young person’s circumstances and the type of service required.
